Course Download Page

This page is for those who registered for the PivotTables for the Faint of Heart “Course + Downloads” option. On this page you can download each lesson of the course. Please note that the download files are HUGE, so I’ve indicated the size of each download file next to its link. Note that the sizes are shown in gigabytes (GB), not megabytes.

I’ve provided the downloads in two video formats. Both video formats are high definition. For most people the 720p resolution will be fine. Others may want the highest quality, which is provided in the 1080p files. You can also download the supplemental materials for the course using the link provided below, if you have not done so already.

I’ve prepared a download file for each section of the course. These are ZIP files, and each contains the video files for that section in whatever resolution is indicated for the file. You should right-click on the link to download (depending on your browser). If you simply click on the download link, your browser may try to open the file, which is not what you want to do—you want to download the file. Once on your system, you can open the ZIP file and access the MP4 video files contained within it.

The amount of time it takes you to download one of these files depends primarily on two things: the size of the file and the speed of your internet connection. I located a free online calculator that you can use to calculate the approximate time required to download each file—just plug in the file size (in GB, remember) and specify your connection speed.

Once you’ve downloaded a section’s file, you will need to locate it on your system. (Different browsers store download files in different places, so you may have to poke around a bit.) Generally, if you’ve successfully downloaded supplemental materials during this course, you should have no problem downloading these files, except they will take much longer to download. Anyway, once downloaded you should be able to move the file from your download folder to a different folder and then double-click on the downloaded ZIP file to open it and access its contents.

If there are any questions, or if you would prefer to have these files sent to you on a USB 3.0 flash drive instead of downloading them, please let me know. There is no additional cost for having the drive sent to you, if that is your preference, but I won’t send it to you automatically—you need to explicitly request it. You can e-mail me at Allen@UsingOffice.com. If you do decide to have the drive sent to you, make sure you let me know your physical address, as I will send it via US Mail.
